Rakou is building golf for the rest of your week.
We’re a golf lifestyle brand connecting the digital and IRL sides of the game. Our app turns golf practice into a game through missions, progress, rewards and competition, giving people a reason to stay connected to golf even when they’re not at the course.
Think new golf culture, with a game at the center of it.
We’re looking for someone to help figure out how Rakou grows from the beginning.
What you'd own
You’ll own our early growth across content, creators, community, partnerships and launches.
- Find and work with golf creators
- Create and test content across social
- Build relationships with golf communities, ranges, clubs and brands
- Come up with growth experiments and run them
- Help turn early users into an active community
- Work closely on activation and retention
- Figure out what works and what we should double down on
There’s no existing marketing team or playbook. You’ll help build both.
You might be a good fit if
- You've grown something before: an audience, community, account, app, brand or project
- You understand creators and internet culture
- You can make things yourself instead of waiting for a team or agency
- You have strong creative taste
- You like experimenting, moving quickly and figuring things out as you go
- You're interested in some combination of golf, gaming, consumer apps, culture or creator businesses
You don’t need years of traditional marketing experience, and you don’t need to be a great golfer.
We care much more about what you’ve actually built, made or grown.
The role
- 2–10% equity depending on experience, commitment and fit
- Equity only until we raise
- Flexible commitment to start, with the goal of becoming full time
- Fully remote, you can be based anywhere
- A lot of ownership and freedom from day one
Rakou is a Delaware C-Corp and our primary market is the US. You can be based anywhere, but you should understand the audience we’re building for and be comfortable working across time zones when needed.
